100 Years of Scouting in Connah's Quay!

Picture inside a parragraph In 1907  Scouting's founder, Baden-Powell, held an experimental camp for 20 boys on Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour. In 1908, Captain Marriott founded a Scout Group in Connah's Quay. A century later, Connah's Quay Scout Group is celebrating their centenary in style.

 

1st Connah's Quay Centenary Exhibition

We held an exhibition at the Civic Hall at the following times:- 

  • Friday 18th April - 10am to 7pm
  • Saturday 19th April - 10am - 3pm

 A visitors book was signed by all those who came to see the exhibition. Thank you to all who came and all who signed our book. Hopefully in 100 years, Scouts in Connah's Quay will be reading it and considering Scouting in 2008!
