Who Are We?

1st Connah's Quay Scout Troop.  

We meet every Friday night between 7pm and 9pm.

Scouts are aged between 10 and a half and 14.

What do Scouts do?

Scouts participate in a vast range of activities. Typical examples include camping, pioneering, hiking, rock climbing, abseiling, air-rifle shooting, archery, mechanics, and much more - the list is endless!

Survival skills and wide games are highlights of each camp! 

Scouts are given a lot of responsibility. They are given guidance but are expected to:

  • make their own decisions
  • plan their own activities
  • challenge themselves
  • work as a team
  • learn about leadership and commitment
  • undertake outdoor activities and challenges
  • help others
  • undertake advanced proficiency schemes
  • become Explorer Scouts

Is there a uniform? 

Yes! Scouting is a uniformed organisation, and we wear our uniforms with pride!
Scout uniform comprises of the following: Teal green long sleeved shirt, navy blue activity trousers, Group scarf (green) and woggle, leather Scout belt and buckle.

The Scout Law is:

  • A Scout makes good use of time and is careful of possessions and property.
